NDIS stands for National Disability Insurance Scheme. It is an Australia-wide scheme that supports people with a permanent and significant disability that has impacted their ability to take part in everyday activities of life. The scheme assists to fund costs associated with disability.

If you are eligible for the NDIS, you will be funded to purchase “reasonable” and “necessary” supports to assist you to work towards your life goals. It will give you choice and control over how, when, and where supports are received.

The National Disability Insurance Agency oversees the functioning of the NDIS. They are responsible for determining eligibility for the NDIS and will support you to develop a plan to identify your goals and determine supports required to achieve your goals.

Your NDIS plan will be about you, your goals, and your needs. It will provide all the details about the supports you will be funded for. It will also list the amount of funding you will receive for each of these supports. Once your NDIS plan is approved, it will go for either 12 months, 24 months, or 36 months before being reviewed. If your circumstances change, you can request an early plan review at any stage.

Am I Eligible for The NDIS?

To be eligible for the scheme, you must have a permanent or significant disability or developmental delay, be an Australian citizen or hold a permanent visa or protected special category visa, and be under 65 years of age. You can use this to help understand whether you may be eligible to access assistance under the NDIS.

Do I Need An NDIS Plan To Access Services?

Arise Ability Assist is a NDIS provider and provide services funded under the NDIS. Therefore, you will need an approved NDIS Plan to access our services.

How Much Does It Cost To Access Services?

NDIS services are charged in line with the NDIS price guide. Our service charges change in line with any price guide changes.
